In September 2024, Copenhagen Infrastructure Group (CIP) has just officially opened the Zhong Neng offshore wind farm, with a total capacity of 300 MW. The project was initiated by a joint venture between CIP Group (Denmark) and CSC - a Taiwanese state-owned enterprise and the largest steel manufacturer in Taiwan.

The Zhong Neng project, located 17 km off the coast of Taiwan's Changhua district, includes 31 turbines, with the first turbines installed in May 2024.
It is expected that the project will complete the grid connection by the end of this year. When operating at full capacity, the Zhong Neng project will provide clean energy to about 300,000 households and help reduce carbon emissions by about 550,000 tons per year.
Zhong Neng is Taiwan's first offshore wind farm to be completed ahead of schedule and meets the highest localization requirements in the history of Taiwan's offshore wind industry. This is also CIP Group's second offshore wind farm to be completed in Taiwan in 2024 (after the Changfang-Xidao project with a capacity of 600 MW inaugurated in May 2024).

Mr. Thomas Wibe Poulsen - Member of the Board of Directors of CIP Group, shared: "The completion of CIP's second offshore wind farm in Taiwan once again demonstrates CIP's ability to coordinate with other countries. partners in the host country to build renewable energy projects using locally produced items, while providing energy at affordable prices. This success was achieved thanks to the efforts of Taiwanese partners, supply chains as well as the highly specialized and experienced Zhong Neng project development and construction team."
In Vietnam, CIP entered the market in early 2019 and is currently participating in the development of the La Gan offshore wind power project, with a total capacity of 3.5 GW offshore Binh Thuan province, and a number of power projects. Offshore wind is in another early stage of development, with a total capacity of over 10 GW.
In March 2024, CIP signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of renewable energy with Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN).
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners Group:
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners Group (CIP), founded in 2012, is currently the largest renewable energy-focused investor in the world and one of the largest offshore wind developers. world.
Specifically: CIP invests in the development of offshore wind power projects, onshore wind power, solar power, biomass power, waste power, power transmission and distribution, reserve power sources, stored power, and electricity. advanced biofuels and technology to convert electricity into other fuel sources - "Power-to-X" (Ammonia, Green Hydrogen...).
CIP is currently managing 12 renewable energy investment funds with a total mobilized capital of about 30 billion USD. CIP has invested and developed a market-leading portfolio of renewable energy projects, with a total capacity of about 120 GW in many countries around the world. Of which, nearly half of the project portfolio for CIP to develop (approximately 60 GW) is offshore wind power./.
