MORE SOLAR POWER PLANTS ARE GOING TO BE SEEN IN BINH THUAN

With the policy on highly priority in the development of renewable energy sources, Binh Thuan People's Committee has recently approved and accepted Vietnam Renewable Energy and Environment Corporation (VREE) to carry out research, measure sun and make the survey of the solar power project in Phu Lac and Vinh Hao Commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province

Following the guidance of the provincial People's Committee in the Document No. 742 / UBND-KT, dated March 27th, 1977, the Company cooperated with other departments and local authorities to carry out field surveys for the project site over 90 ha (Area No. 1) and 362 ha (Area No. 2) in Vinh Hao and Phu Lac communes, Tuy Phong district.

After conducting surveys, sun measurement in the expected project site, the company will continue to conduct next steps in the construction of solar power plant.   

 When put into operation and connected to the national grid, the plant will provide additional clean energy for the national power system, opening a new stage in clean energy and high technology. At the same time, bringing socio-economic efficiency to the localities, contributing to environmental protection and combating climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emission and sustainable development. This project will also contribute to addressing the current electricity shortage of the country.
