The Prime Minister stated that reaching net zero emissions by 2050 is an inevitable development goal of the world, which is realized mainly through strong energy transition and low-emission development. Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the Prime Minister requested the ministries, branches, agencies, and localities based on their assigned functions, tasks, and powers to proactively and actively implement the assigned tasks.

The Ministry of Science and Technology proposes policies to encourage the development of technology and clean and green energy. The Ministry of Information and Communications develops a digital transformation program to combat climate change, including green development. The Ministry of Planning and Investment develops a program for businesses to follow the trend of green and digital transformation.

The Prime Minister agreed on the content of the Scheme to organize a dialogue conference on cooperation with development partners on the implementation of the goal of achieving net zero emissions and energy conversion; pay attention to clarify the specific support needs of each ministry, sector, and field to achieve the goals Vietnam committed at COP26.
