Remove obstacles, and create conditions for renewable power projects to be put into operation soon

According to the Electricity of Vietnam, by the end of June 2, there have been 65/85 transitional renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 3,643,861MW that have submitted documents to the Power Trading Company to negotiate electricity prices and power purchase agreement.

Which, 56 projects (total capacity 3087,661MW) have proposed temporary prices equal to 50% of the ceiling price of the price bracket (according to Decision No. 21/QD-BCT dated January 7, 2023, of the Ministry of Industry and Trade). EVN and the investor have completed price negotiations and initialed PPA contracts with 51/56 projects, of which the Ministry of Industry and Trade has approved temporary prices for 40 projects.

19 projects have been accepted by competent State management agencies for works/parts of works; 27 projects have been granted electricity operation licenses for the whole plant/a part of the plant; 24 projects have decided to extend the investment policy.

As of the afternoon of June 2, 10 projects have submitted documents for official recognition of the commercial operation date (COD).

Which, there are 9 projects, part of the project with a total capacity of 472.62 MW has completed COD procedures, officially being commercialized to the national grid.

Currently, 55/63 People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities have issued guiding documents to ensure electricity supply and save electricity in the area. As a result, the daily energy savings reached about 20 million kWh/day (equivalent to about 2.5% of daily electricity consumption).

According to Mr. Do Thang Hai, in the coming time, with a total capacity of 81,504 MW, while the highest load demand is more than 44,000 MW, if the units are guaranteed to have no problems and operate reliably, With enough fuel, reasonable water regulation of lakes, we can overcome the problem of lack of electricity and ensure electricity for people's lives and production of businesses.

At the same time, increase coal production for power supply, regulate coal supply to increase coal volume for power generation by about 300,000 tons for May and about 100,000 tons for each subsequent month (June, July); an increase of 18% in gas supply in the Southeast region and 8% in gas supply in the Southwest region for electricity production.
